Macklemore breaks silence on Ed Sheeran row on stage at Wembley Stadium

Key Points:

• US rapper Macklemore expressed his support for Palestine during a sold-out concert in London, stating it was "more uncomfortable" to stay silent about the conflict than to speak out, emphasizing that speaking up is a human responsibility rather than an act of bravery.
• Joined by singer Paloma Faith and activist Greta Thunberg, Macklemore highlighted the importance of valuing all children equally and called for real policy changes beyond philanthropy to address the occupation and humanitarian crisis in Palestine.
• The Free Palestine tour, which began in Dublin and continued in Paris before London, features multiple artists and aims to raise funds for humanitarian aid organizations supporting Palestinian people.
• All proceeds from the concerts are directed to various groups providing medical care, education, and community support in Palestine, including Anera, Gaza Soup Kitchen, Medical Aid for Palestinians, and UNRWA USA.
• The tour was announced following Macklemore's removal from Ed Sheeran’s US tour dates due to his comments on Gaza, reflecting his commitment to using his platform to raise awareness and support for Palestine.
