If you scroll to your settings bar, you will probably see a key and some words showing up under the time. Click on it and then click on the VPN setting and turn off whatever is running.

so i noticed that the vpn on my samsung was turnt off anyway and i still had this issue for some time. i found that if i turnt off my mobile data and attempted on JUST wifi, it seemed to work. This led me to presumed a vpn was automatically put in place by my mobile proviser (o2) i could be wrong
