Coins not registering?

I walked over 8000 steps today, and I find out I only got 2 coins? And apparently I HAVE to turn on the lock screen to get any coins. I really don't like this. For starters, this app already drains enough battery as it is, the lock screen furthermore. Second, the lock screen is just an extra obstacle because I have to unlock my phone anyways, so it feels practically pointless. I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one, but this is ridiculous and I hope they fix this, because this was the one walking app I was actually pretty content with.
