These cool things are called Discovery tubes You put nature items inside such as acorns,  leaves, seeds, flowers beach sand, seashells, rocks, gem stones etc. I would use these at home for decorations.

    I remember in science class in elementary school, our teacher had so many snakes and tarantulas and we would just sit by them.

    Right!! Lol The Seashells definitely dress them up well.
