Last nights dinner! 🍽️

Last nights dinner! 🍽️

I made beef quesadillas last night for dinner. They turned out SO good! I'm very glad that I seem to have figured out the spices needed for our liking. 😊

My husband loves quesadillas. It's one of his favorite things to order when we eat out.

Yeah, for sure!!! I don't really follow a measured recipe though, I do it more so by taste. After browning the ground beef, be sure to drain any fat! It will be MUCH to greasy if you don't. I add a diced sweet pepper and onion then with some water and a small amount of flour to thicken. Probably about 1/4 cup of water? At the same time, I add some cumin, garlic powder, salt, paprika and chili powder. This spice blend is great for chicken quesadillas also! Once the pepper and onion is soft, cover half of a flour tortilla with the mixture an cheese. Fold it over and bake for about 15-20 minutes at 400, flipping it halfway through. 😄

Did you bake in the oven or did you put it together like a sandwich

I bake them in the oven just for convenience (brown more than one at a time) but they are better, in my opinion, if browned on a pan! I think they crisp up nicer that way. 😊
