Cashwalk not retaining steps after posing if phone down during the day

If I power down my phone and start it up again I am asked to select google or facebook or other method to log back in again. Wasn't like this before.
What can I do to eliminate signing in so often? When this happens steps are records in the trends, but the screen shows me starting back over with zero step.
