I too remember going there when I was in school. But it seems like a lot of these extra trips don't take place anymore.
Do any other schools in the United States offer the middle school trip to Washington DC?
When I was in school, it was a very popular trip and all the kids wanted to go. I signed my son up last year and they ended up canceling the trip because there wasn't enough interest. The school is going to try again this year to put together a trip! Hopefully enough students are willing to go.

I hope your son gets to go to Washington DC! We took a family trip there when I was roughly in middle school. That's a good age for that trip!!

5: not DC but we always got the history museum or the zoo. The museum was my favorite because it was so big.
