#6 wild berries from my garden

It smells good like real strawberry. I am not sure if they are strawberries or other species of berries๐Ÿ’ฆ

I used to live in an apartment with a nice walking trail behind it and it has some wild berries that looked like blackberries, raspsberries and strawberries. I never tried to pick any cause i don't know if they are poisonous or not. Are your wild berries edible?ย

Those look like bayberries which are edible. If you can, take a sample over to a local state horticultural center along with a small branch with leaves to have them properly identify it. Just be careful.

Bayberries are much rounder, and usually black or gray.

They look like real strawberries, but you should not eat if you aren't sure what they are.ย

Not too sure what they are but they do look like they would be good. Still better to double check with someone educated in this to be safe.

They are real strawberries! The wild type, rather than the highly bred commercial type. But same species (Fragaria vesca). I love wild strawberries.

Oh nice! So does that mean you didn't buy the seeds and planted them? Otherwise how else you wouldn't know what they are? Just be careful when eating them.
