I adopted a seven year old poodle years ago who had been dumped because she couldn't have puppies anymore. She was the nicest dog. Sadly having so many puppies over and over again she ended up passing from breast cancer
My sister has a huge love for great Danes. This beautiful dog is five years old and was dumped at the shelter because she used to be a breeder and is now too old to have puppies. Her owner discarded her without a second thought. I strongly feel pets are a lifetime commitment And people should not get a pet if they're not gonna put the time and effort into giving it its best life. My nephew is so excited to have a new addition to the family.

What a beautiful girl. I agree the only exception is if something super drastic such as major health issues (like the owner has a massive stroke and can no longer perform proper care).

I am happy for her. She deserves a good home. I love other people's dogs but I know it's more responsibility and expense than I am willing to take on. So, I'm happy to pet sit, donate to rescues, and socializs with any dog who welcomes me.
