Sierra Nevada Mountains are about 400 miles in length. It has 12 "14ers."  Those are mountains taller than 14,000 feet. I've seen several, but have not climbed them. 60% of California's rainfall lands in these mountains. California 10

    I enjoy a day trip to the mountains. The air is so clean and crisp. I live in the valley where it's warmer.
