How to beat the bloat

Best tips to beat hormonal bloating please.  I'm trying to hydrate more and consume less salt also but would welcome any more tips. It is getting worse as I get older.  I hate feeling about 5 months pregnant every month!

Hormonal bloating can be quite uncomfortable (like I know what it is really like, lol, I'm a man), but there are several strategies you can use to manage and reduce it, you sound like you have a good start.

Reduce Salt Intake: Sodium increases water retention, so cutting down on salty foods can help reduce bloating.
Eat Potassium-Rich Foods: Foods like bananas, avocados, and sweet potatoes can help balance sodium levels and reduce water retention.
Stay Hydrated: Drinking plenty of water helps flush out excess sodium and reduces bloating.
Exercise Regularly: Physical activity can help reduce bloating by promoting regular bowel movements and reducing water retention.
Avoid Caffeine and Alcohol: Both can contribute to bloating and other PMS symptoms. Opt for water or herbal teas instead.
Eat Smaller, Frequent Meals: Instead of three large meals, try eating smaller, more frequent meals to prevent overeating and reduce bloating. I like this for men also.
Limit Processed Foods: Processed foods often contain high levels of sodium and other ingredients that can cause bloating.
Consider Diuretics: Natural diuretics like dandelion tea can help reduce water retention. Consult with a healthcare provider before using any diuretics.
Manage Stress: Stress can exacerbate bloating. Practices like yoga, meditation, and deep breathing can help reduce stress levels.
Get Enough Sleep: Lack of sleep can worsen PMS symptoms, including bloating. Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night.
Try Supplements: Some people find relief with supplements like magnesium or vitamin B6, which can help reduce bloating and other PMS symptoms.
Consult a Healthcare Provider: If bloating is severe or persistent, it’s a good idea to talk to a healthcare provider to rule out any underlying conditions and get personalized advice.
Implementing these tips can help you manage hormonal bloating more effectively. I hope you can incorporate some of these to reduce bloating. Good luck in your adventure into intermittent fasting.
