Korean food

I saw some videos where they explain how Koreans are "trained" to eat spicy food since childhood. Their food is very spicy, I just want to ask whyyy? But it's delicious tho if you can keep up with the burn.

the food spice tolerance is definitely trained since you become used to it.

It's not necessarily training but just part if every day living. Spanish food can be spicy with jalapeños and other peppers. It just like in some cultures, animals most folks in the west wouldn't even consider eating are part of every day cuisine.
Me personally, I don't mind a bit of heat but I want some flavor with it, not just all heat. Give me a bowl of plain rice to go with it and I'm go
