Yeah they can be absolutely annoying sometimes.
Oh my goodness I hate fruit flies. They've completely invaded my kitchen. I'm trying the traps but so far I'm only catching a few.
Does anyone have any ideas for getting rid of them?

When you say traps you mean store bought or home made?

Maybe try to create a corner with light so that they will fly there when dark.

Or maybe get an item that catches them, I bought it on amazon, even if it mostly for mosquitos.

I have the same problem! I just moved in here and they came out as soon as I turned the water on. Somebody told me Apple cider Vin and dish soap, no luck yet. It my previous homes I just kept putting bleach down the drain till winter

I can't remember the recipe for a homemade one, but it's something with vinegar! If you try YouTube there's lots of videos.

I just got this stem trap u r suppose to put by fruit .. unfortunately we did not have an outlet close so I took It to my mom's. Put it as close as I could but still was a ways away and checked it recently to see all those nasty Lil suckers

Me too. They are horrible this year.. I haven't found any useful solution yet.

Luckily I've only had a problem with the once but it took like 2 weeks to manually kill them all lol.Puts me off buying fruit!

Try the electric fly swatter. I heard it stinks tho.

I think those little yellow stickers for plants could work well. I use it to catch gnats which is also annoying!
